Barbados at Night
For Independence & Christmas Celebrations

In
our photo feature, "Barbados at Night", we relive the memories
of the magnificent lighted decorations seen throughout the country
for our Independence and Christmas celebrations. It all began
early in November as we prepared to celebrate our 36th anniversary
of independence on November 30th. Buildings and roundabouts
are traditionally decorated in a spectacular display of blue
and yellow lights, representing the colours of our national
flag. The decorations in Bridgetown are my personal favourite.
Then
of course, it's Christmas in December and some Bajans spare
no change when it comes to decorating their homes. So, in the
middle of the night, while some of you may have been sleeping,
we were out taking pictures. We hope you find this photo feature
enjoyable and if you would like to visit it again, you will
find it in our features section.
